Who We Are

The 101st Airborne Division website is an independent publication created to preserve the legacies, stories, and history of the Screaming Eagles since World War II.

Our mission is to collaborate with military historians, researchers, family members, and enthusiasts who are passionate about keeping the history alive for future generations and ensuring the sacrifices of our military heroes are never forgotten.

We hope this website will be a valuable resource for decades to come.

    James Dalman

    Founder. Editor. U.S. Army Veteran.

    James Dalman is a lifelong military enthusiast who served in the infantry. He is an author, public speaker, and full-time world traveler. His passion is keeping the Screaming Eagles legacies alive.

    Lt. Col. Jos Groen (RET)

    Cofounder. Researcher. Dutch Army Veteran.

    Jos Groen is a retired Dutch Army soldier who served his country for 34 years and was sent on three missions during his career. He is the author of several military books and lives in the Netherlands.

    Ronald Stassen is an author and professional Battlefield Tour Guide from Maastricht, Netherlands. He leads many tours for returning veterans and their families in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
